    I have a 1998 Z3 2.8L that I want to change out to a 3.2L. Any suggestions before I try this? I have a striped spark plug insert in the head and tried a heilacoil, still too lose. Thanks, Hal

    I've got a '98 Z3 with the 2.8L engine. The previous owner had replaced the head gasket (he appears to be a "shade tree" mechanic, so I'm not sure how much he knows about BMWs). The engine ran OK, but it had bit of a misfire at low RPMs. MIL light was on. I drove it around for 15 or 20 miles...

    I just bought a 1998 z-3 with 1.9 inline 4 cyl. I would like to check power steering fluid level. There is a shroud covering the whole area above the unit. How do I get to it without taking the whole thing apart? Owners manual not very helpful. Thanks,

    Hello! I've found the connector access on the passenger side. I've slid the little plastic "hatch" off to reveal what looks like a cap instead of the "female" pin connection. This "cap" is secured by 2 small screws. Should I remove the screws and the "cap" to gain access to the connection...
