add on

Hello All! I just bought my first BMW X3. It had everything I wanted and it was a good deal. The one thing it did not have that I wasn't sure was important was parking assistance. Having now experienced this in a loaner, I wish I did have it. Is this something that can be added?

Does anyone know if BMW apps can be added after you purchase and take delivery? I was told that this could not be done by my sales consultant. I have the nav package with premium sound. It seems like this would be just a software install. Also, can the power rear sun shade be added as well...
