I have searched but no success. Could somebody show a diagram of auxiliary (serpentine) belts for the n62b48 E63. PS I have found many for E60, E70, X5 but not for E63 with n62b48.... :dunno: I am looking for the Idler Pulley and the Tensioner Pulleys especially.

Hello all :) - - - - - -----> 1996 520i M52B20 EUROPEAN I have been reading the pdfs and DIY available here, and I am thinking about replacing the belts myself. I have never taken the fan off, but I am getting a 32 mm open wrench today and using the "maybe" "controversial" hammer...

I see this issue with old posts as far back as 2006 but nothing new so I am posting again. I have a squeal especially upon cold start but all the time intermittent. I have replace both belts and still had squeal. I then replace both mechanical belt tensioners (one is on AC unit and the other...

Hello, I am new to the forum and up and until recently a proud new owner of a 98 540i. Since march i have gone through two water pumps and a series of belts and hoses. Most recently I replaced everything, again, and now I cant get my belt to tension. new belt. new water pump pulley. Bad...

I'm driving myself mad right now doing my research.:typing::mad: Over the next couple days I am performing a belt/tensioner and cooling system overhaul. I just bought a torque wrench that I am about to return because I prefer a wrench that sits at the lower end of the torque spectrum (due to...

Hi, Few days ago my car (2002-530i; 70k miles; replaced battery 10 months ago) died in the parking lot. Got a jump from AAA and drove it back home. In those 5 miles, all kinds of lights started flashing on the dash board (red battery indicator; traction/anti locks brakes etc). Safely made it...

Okay, so a search yielded some hints to either valve cover gasket failure or belt slippage to some minor but persistant burnt rubber scent either through the air system or ambient (through the windows), but I failed to find any actual pics. So, I took a pic of what leakage/seepage I saw today...

Off of a report done by the mechanics at Midas, it is to my knowledge that the v-belts in my '85 325e are cracking and are in need of replacement. I am extremely inexperienced in any sort of car maintenance (i've only changed the oil, the sparkplugs, and flat tires in my past misadventures)...

Hi all, I love my cars but am hopeless with the mechanics of it all. The aircon compressor has stuffed up and ive been quoted $2300AUS to fix it (that's the cheapest quote). Being in Australia you would think the aircon is important but i rarely use it. So i was wondering is it possible to do...

This was the first DYI job I did on my own. It should have taken about an hour, but it took 3 over two days. Most of the effort was in finding the routing of the belt (mine shredded) and in finding out how to work the tensioning to get the belts off and on. First, I will say you have to be...
