dual intake

So I am looking at getting the BMS Dual Intake for my 335i, I just got the JB3 chip and I'm going to do a new intercooler this week too. BUT I was wondering on what peoples thoughts are on the intakes. It seems strange to me that there isn't a box around the intakes forcing in cool air. It seems...
