    HI, Not new to BMW. I have had the vanos issue in my 2000 528i. That was a simple rebuild unit and slapped in at BMW. Now I have a 2003 540i and need the updated seals put on the unit and cant find a shop. I even called an indy BMW specialist koltz in NJ and he told me to use thicker oil...
