I think my car was hit by a paintball which set off my alarm and now the hood won't open. Nothing happens when I pull on the hood lever, the cable that goes from the lever to the hood latch is still in tact. Is there a way to reset something? Could the alarm have caused this? And how do I fix it?

I just bought a 2006 325i with 40k miles from a dealer and now I'm getting the low oil level indicator on my dash. The dealer supposedly changed the oil--I've driven the car about 1000 miles, why would the light be on? Thanks.
