I've got to put a power steering pump on my 2001 740IL and as you know, there's only 4 points to safely raise these cars.
I'm looking for any suggestions as to how I can lift it using a floor jack and then block it with a tripod jack while I work on it. Any suggestions as to how to do this...
I'm painting my brake calipers and when I went to do the one wheel I has using the jack that comes with the car but the jack spot is all bent and the jack doesnt properly fit in it. I tries using my 2 ton jack but it wont fit under the side skirts. I'm thinking about getting a 3 ton low profile...
Hey, I have a BMW E30 318i 1989, it has done 380,000km and is in need of new suspension.
I was thinking I would lower it, but its not really practical for a first car.

I got the bike lift system (for 2 bikes) for my X3 and found that I am just not tall enough to use it easily -- even though its really easy (I'm 5'7"). Got a hitch finally and its been easier even though
it adds length to make it harder to park in the city...

I got stuck in mud (about two feet) on Sunday. Since then, I have been trying to get the undercarriage clean. Question:
- Does anyone know of a location in the Washington, DC area that uses a lift to do undercarriage cleaning?

Looks like these part numbers apply to all years of E65/E66's.
I had unfortianle flat and really didnt like using that BMW jack(the jack of Death) the car slipped off from it(but alas no damage)
i am trying to find another jack that tucks somewhere nicely in the trunk
and fits good with the jack pads.
from what cars do you reccomend?
my car is pretty low...
