I have an E39 with a 2.8L M52 which, when warmed up, has close to zero power below 4k RPM, then most if not all the power comes back after 4k RPM, like a turbo.
I have replaced 1 O2 sensor which was bad, Intake Air Temp sensor which was throwing a code and new spark...

Hey guys I have bmw e39 m52b28 with one VANOS 2.8. I want to swap m54b25 but i want to connect it with old cables, throttle,intake manifold, starter, pump and computer. what is the most problematic thing with it? Can someone help me?
I have m52b28 with m54 camshafts swap, m50 intake, stock ms41 ecu no tune (drift car).
Lately I noticed that on low rpm (idle -~2k rpm) engine acts like it has irregular missfire or similar behavior.
There was no fault codes from ecu, so i used diagnostic tool to detect posible causes.

- Siemens MS40.1 DME (Specific to the M50B20, and the cause of much pain)
- EWS II
Planned Final setup:
- OBD - I converted M52B28 (M50B25)
I have been offered an M62B44 engine, its currently in a E38 740i (2000) I have been offered all the parts needed from the car (friends car).
