Hey everyone, need some help; i know coolant leaks are common on on E39's, done a lot of reading here and i'm still coming up empty. I have 2002 540i M sport 6 gear, 154000 kms (95 miles); car has been going down on a coolant, not a huge amount, about a cup every two weeks. Pressure tested...
  2. E36 (1991 - 1999)
So a few months ago I bought a really nice BMW Z3, with barely 70k miles on it, for a pretty good steal. With it, I got the basic keys, (excluding the remote key,) and two extra small metal keys that go to nothing I know of. If anybody has a clue as to what they might go to, please share! Ive...
  3. E30 (1982 - 1993)
Hey guys, so I got my '93 E30 in the summer and it came with these rims on it. I've done extensive research online to try to pin down who makes them but I can't find anything. Do any of you guys know what kind of rims these are? They're 4x100 (duh) 17x8._a2_

Hi... I'm new here and not a DIYer when it comes to wrenching, but fairly knowledgeable about my car and doing research when there is a problem. 2004 X3 2.5 with 160,000 miles. I've owned it since 80,000 and maintained it very well. My X3 has been un-driveable for 7 weeks. Below is entire...
  5. X3 F25 (2011 - 2017)
Hi everyone, just recently my F25 has come up with a new mystery problem - when I brake and mostly turning either left or right, but yes sometimes straight it has this stutter, rumbling, almost feels as if it wants to stall out and it works itself out after you straighten out and accelerate...
  6. E24 (1976 - 1989)
So today I was out and about car shopping when we stumbled upon what appeared to be a M325 CSi. It was owned by a BMW Tech Specialist who apparently professionally raced (rally) his old 7 series. This was his daily during that time. - It has real Carbon Fiber BBS ///M wheels. - ///M badges on...
  7. X5 F15 (2014 - 2018)
This "X" appeared a few weeks ago out of the blue. It looks like a railroad crossing sign. There is no railroad there (has not been for 50+ years). Other places where old rail systems crossed do not get the X. It does not appear anywhere else on the map. Any ideas what it is?
  8. E39 (1997 - 2003)
Hi all, I've read through every post on battery drains here and have to add my own and hope someone can help! I have a 2000 BMW 528i which I bought off my mechanic when I was trying to get my old car serviced and it was too dead to repair. He's on active duty in the Armed Forces and drives to...
