Hey I’ve just got some new discs and I’m measuring 0.05mm difference in thickness on each disc, high to low. Straight from the box, not fitted yet as doesn’t seem right? Not a good start 0.05mm when shooting for 0.15mm max run out when fitting,? car is e65 745i

Hi all, just a quick one, is there an alternative to Akebono pads? I'm in the UK and they are nearly impossible to source. I'd have to import from the US, and pay shipping, tax, handling charges etc making them about two to three times the cost. Just wondering if there is an alternative...

BRAKE PADS WONT FIT AROUND ROTOR. I'm a little confused. I took off my pads and rotors and now putting it all back together, the pads will fit in the caliper but there's no room for the rotor to slide in there. I don't see anything different from when I removed them......? What am I missing? I'm...

Hello fellow GT Headz, So my 2012 GT front rotors seem to be warped as I feel a vibration on my steering wheel when I hit the brakes at highway speeds only (55+mph) only, otherwise, car feels fine and no vibration or shakes in regular city driving. I did get it confirmed at a local BMW go to...

Hello all, I purchased a full set of Brembo pads and rotors and would like to know if the rotors are fake or authentic. - I did some research and the biggest flag is both front rotors have different thicknesses on the outside (6mm) and inside (8mm). The rears are uniform each but not to each...

Hi all. I am new to this forum and recently bought my first BMW. Its a 2012 535i xDrive. After a few months of worry-free driving, I now have my first problem. The display tells me my rear pads are worn and the red BRAKE light is always on. I have replaced pads and rotors on MANY vehicles but...

I just changed to a new indy referred by a good friend of mine. During the recent service he mentioned that my rear brake pad would be expiring soon. That's a bit of a shock to me as the rear pads & cables were changed merely 6k mi (10k km) & 8 months ago. In the meantime the OBC is...

Hello! I needed to replace the brakes on my 2009 E90, and decided to go with OEM pads. I wasn't planning on replacing the rotors, but now I'm second guessing it. Anyone have any suggestions on good rotors to pair with the OEM brakes besides the OEM rotors? OEM rotors are $110 a piece from the...

Hi Guys, I hope this isn't a dumb question but I wanted to get some input on the type of brakes you guys would recommend I use for my car. BMW quoted me $950 for brake pads, rotors and sensors all the way around for my car, Autozone quoted me $430 for the same set but the Duralast gold brand...

Hello, The problem is; Car brakes on its own, happened twice already.. Was going at normal speed in the city than the car started braking on its own, brake pads started to smell, braking pedal was getting harder and sensitive, good thing there was parking lot to pull over. Once I stopped...

HEll, I replaced the Brake rotors , pads and sensor on my 550i 2010. Originally the service light (yellow) was on and decided to change all components. After I finished I found that I had a red light saying that the pads were fully worn and needed to service it. Sensor is connected and...

My brake liner light came on so naturally I decided to upgrade my Pads and Rotors. I went from the stock sport package on my E39 530i to the Bavarian Autosport Ultimate drilled and slotted rotors, and Pagid Red brake pads. Rotors are the same size as I was previously running. Before the swap...

I have a used set of OE Brembo Brakes for a BMW 135i. These brakes came off of a SEMA build we did last year which we replaced with Brembo Racing calipers all around. From my research it looks like this setup will fit on the 128i, 325i, and 328i. Price includes calipers, rotors, caliper...

Hey guys I have appreciated all your help with cosmetic upgrades so far since I've joined this forum. I have a bit of concern with my beamer right now. When ever I'm braking (almost to a stop) my brakes squeek. Not too loud but they still do. Brake dust is excessive too. I was wonder if thats...

Recently changed my front and back break pads and rotors. I went with a premium pad and cheaper rotor. It's been 3 weeks (including a 4hr trip and 2hr trip each way) and my front breaks are still squeaking most of the time. I didn't replace the sensor cable that attaches to the pad, but don't...

I need new brakes (i.e. pads & rotors all around) and I've been searching the forums for reviews/advice. I can't tell you how many posts I've read about the Akebono Euros having "less initial bite" and "less ability to modulate the braking". It would also be hard to tell you how many posts...
