First of all, I am new here so I apologize if this topic was opened in the wrong section forum but I am still having some issues navigating on this site.
What I want to ask you is what are your thoughts on plasti dip car paints?
I am soon starting my BMW e30 renovation...
What's good Bimmerfest!
I recently bought a pre-owned 2014 435i.
It has manufactures warranty for another year but I want some advice in regards to maintenance (daily, monthly, yearly) and any other helpful hints.
Also would it better to wrap or dip the roof and rims of the car?
Alright... I wasn't going to post anything about my project, but a friend told me I should... So, here I am.
I bought my 2001 BMW X5 in October of 2012, when I lived in Virginia. I have always had a love for cars, but since I moved to Iowa in January 2014... that love for cars has grown...
I plasti dipped my rims (for my winter tires) and made a video of it if anyone wants to see how easy it is.
Unfortunately I found out afterwards that the front two tires don't fit my new 335i, as they came from my '02 330ci! :(
Hey guys, I just got my 2006 325xi and it's dark green I want to paint the rims a different color but I don't know which yet, maybe gold?
If you guys have painted rims lets see them! Especially on a Dark green body.
Please post away
I had to have a scratch fixed and paid extra to re-do the entire rear bumper because I have scratches on the threshold of the trunk.
When I get it back I have been considering putting something on the flat section to prevent future scratches, considering black Plasti-dip or Polyurethane (i.e...
I've been having the plasti dip for a while now, just wanted to share my experience with it.
Covered every little scratch and rock chips.
Always looks clean, believe it or not. It rained yesterday here in Canada, the water dried right on my car and left no stains!
Easy to clean. Normal...
Matte white was a little hard to clean to be honest, so I decided to glossify the whole car. Now it is much easier to clean. Costed $1000 to plasti dip the whole car, the glossifying process costed $1200, plus I decided to smoke the reflectors and the chrome line.
My car was done by...
I'm still waiting for my grille to get blacked out, should be ready tomorrow.
Video is coming tomorrow as well as more pics.
To go from black to full matte white costed me $1000, in my opinion that is an awesome price for such a big thing. I won't have to change anything in my ownership nor in...
Wish me luck ! Starting to get her prepped. I am going to mask off the exhaust next and start spraying.
I plan on spraying about a half inch away from the line and peeling back. We'll see how it comes out. If it sucks, I'll peel it off.
Just did a new project on my car. I plasti dipped my BMW 135i Monster Green. Here is a link on youtube how I did it.
It was actually really easy to do and very low cost for someone to change the colour of your car.
Hey everyone, I'm eager to get an opinion from the experts on this forum before I attempt something (with a very captable friend).
The grill inserts on my e39 (2003 BMW 530i) are looking a tired. The light chrome on the inserts has gotten dull and I'm considering plasti-dipping them to be...
Sorry I didnt take any pictures during the process to do a DIY
I blacked out my exterior trim today with plasti dip.
It gave the (originally white) trim a nice matte look that matches with the rest of the car.
Took me quite a while to complete the whole project maybe 4+ hours
