I took delivery of my 45e on Friday and it's a technological wonder. I love the upgraded EVERYTHING compared to my 2018 X5.
The only upgrade I don't like is the roof rack system. Is it true that my BMW roof rack system which worked with my other X5s (2015, 2018) will not work with the G05?
I am new to this forum so hope it helps me out with my new project!
I removed the steering rack from my car due to a severe leak. I purchased a seal kit for it and I am currently trying to disassemble it.
I have been following the steps from a Classic Bimmer Bits publication...

I'm looking to buy a roof support system for my X3 M40i. I got a quote from BMW and it's obviously expensive but does anyone have any recommendations on other roof systems that are compatible with the new X3?
I looked at Sportrack and Thule, but I'm not sure on the compatibility of things.
I am trying to find a suitable bike carrier for my BMW X5 are there any good suggestions and where to buy it online from knowing that my car has 2 screws left and right not a middle one like some cars.

Needed a 2" hitch to mount a new bike rack (Yakima Holdup 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack with Lock Cable 2-Inch Receiver) on my 2011 X3 28i. After reviewing the options, I decided on a Curt #13107 Class 3 Trailer Hitch (their model 47). Perfect! I installed it myself, and got exactly what I wanted...
I was recently given a 2008 BMW X5. The owner also gave me the BMW bike rack that was made for the car. I'm not a biker/cyclist (or whatever the appropriate term is) and would love to hand it off to someone who would use it. It's in great condition, super easy to install on your X5.
I've been researching roof racks for my F15 for months now with no conclusion and want to get something before warm weather hits the Carolinas. Any good or bad experiences with the BMW basic Roof Rack System and Touring Bike Mounts? I've read that the sunroof can not be opened with the basic...

I have a BMW X3 2013 (F25) without roof rails and would like to put roof rack on the car because we would like to have the possibility to put a cargo box (ski trips) or bikes on top.
I went to BMW Minnetonka yesterday and they said I could use BMW Base support system and I got a print out...
So I was making a U-turn into my driveway, and heard a "pop" --- lost all power steering.
A quick check under the car has rendered this:
Any idea what could have caused this? I just replaced the engine, so I'm actually hoping this could be a "cheap" fix. (And of course cheap is relative. I...
