2006 Z4, the driver's side seat belt receptor has finally given up. Got an OEM replacement receptor to install from BMW, probably could have gotten direct from Pelican, oh well about the same price. Change out was too easy. Step by step with photos on the Pelican website. Back in business.

Hello All, I folded one of my rear seats down to increase the cargo room and now it won't return to the "full upright position". The seat belt will not release. I unscrewed the bolt on the back after popping off the plastic plug, but that didn't help. How do I release the tension on the belt?

I purchased my first BMW (2011 335i Convertible) about 6 months ago and LOVE it. Recently both of the front seat belts started locking up after being buckled with a passenger in the seat. They will not allow you to lean forward (no matter how slowly). I have to unbuckle to look behind me before...
  4. E46 (1999 - 2006)
I am having a difficult time finding how to remove the front seat belt anchor attached to the seat. I'm not sure if I have to remove the seat or just the cover over the seat controls. Does anyone have a site with instructions. Thanks

preferable branded with logo.. Non BMW belts may be useful to me as well. I need the buckle assembly only (including the male insert). We are building a display for a client who is in the business of financing car dealerships. Thank you. artcraftgraphics.com

Hi All, I recently encountered an issue with the middle seat belt not being able to retract. I noticed this when I was cleaning my car the other day, and left the seats folded down so it wouldn't pull as hard against the upholstery. I tried feeding more of the belt in without any success of...
  8. 7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Hi all. Been searching frantically for a DIY regarding the topic. Can't seem to find a definitive procedure on how to get to the middle rear seat belt, and then replacing it. Got an MOT failure today, because the belt had been frayed by the plastic 'tunnel' it comes out of, so I need to...
  9. E36/7 Z3 (1996-2002)
On my z3 passenger side seat belt locks up and you can't pull it out enough unless you let it retract all the way in ,then pull it out .But when you lean forward in your seat ,the seat belt strap needs to pull out a bit to allow you to lean forward, but it locks. So you have to unhook it,and let...

Hello all, My seat belt arm would not retract all the way and it rattles back and forth non stop. Does anyone know how to fix this other than pulling out the fuse? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-UocH26CxQ Thanks!
  11. E39 (1997 - 2003)
Recently purchased an E39 and there is fraying on the rear belts. I'm looking to replace them. My wife is due soon and I don't trust a car seat with them. I have found one source at 120 a piece. Maybe there are some other sources or options. Thanks for the help. btw they are gray.

Hey Guys, So my airbag and seatbelt light need to be reset. I'm going to try and do it using INPA im just having trouble finding the right cable for my car. Anyone know which one i would need for a 2006 325I? Thanks!

The red airbag warning light on my 2001 E46 is on. I have had it reset by my mechanic. But of course it eventually comes back on. I'd like to troubleshoot the issue myself. The error code he gave me says: "Ignition Circuit ZK1, Driver belt tensioner" (See attached copy of diagnostics). I read...

I am looking for someone in the Austin, TX (or surrounding) area who has the ability to code a 2013 335i in order to have the seat belt alarm disabled. I don't want to purchase the seat belt insert because I still need to wear the seat belt on most occasions, but since the dealer won't disable...
  15. E90/E91/E92/E93 (2006 - 2013)
Hi, We have a 6-month old 325i Convertible with leather sports seats. The seatbelt is part of the seat and my wife is finding it very uncomfortable. It cuts across her neck and the top of her chest rather than the normal (and safe!) position. Anyone else had this problem and solved it?
  16. E46 (1999 - 2006)
I bought a used 2005 E46. I do not get an audible seat belt alert or gong noise or whatever. Fuses look good . I was wondering if somehow the audible was disconnected in some way. Any ideas?
  17. E60 / E61 (2004 - 2010)
Hey everyone, 2008 535i Does anyone know if it is possible to silence the front seat belt alarms? Maybe there is a fuse I can pull out? I use my seat belt every time I get into my car and I don't need an alarm to remind me. My older bimmers didn't have the alarm. Not that big of a deal but...
  18. X3 E83 (2004 - 2010)
Anyone know if/how the Passenger Seat Belt is tied into the AIr Bag System? :dunno: I was having a problem with passenger seat belt chime and warning indicator triggering , even when there was no one (or thing) in the passenger seat. Jumpered the wires in the seat belt buckle receptacle, which...
  19. X5 E53 (1999 - 2006)
I have an 01' x5 and the driver window pops when I roll it down and roll it up. My passenger window fell awhile back and I was told this is a common failure on the X5's that if I would have brought it in when the first signs presented the part is just a few bucks. Anyone have a how to on...
  20. E36/7 Z3 (1996-2002)
Just bought a 2001 BMW Z3 3.0i, and so far, I love the car with three exceptions. One is the Harman Kardon subwoofer is crackling (saw that there is no easy/inexpensive remedy), another is the slow recoil of the seatbely pulley/tensioner (another common gripe, I see) and the third are broken...
