When I ordered my '17 X3 I did not order the rear window shades/sun shades and now I am regretting it. Does anyone know either the parts or effort required to added the built in sunshade to the rear doors or a good third part alternative?
I recently took apart my 2006 BMW 750I rear window shade to see why it wasn't working. I put a 9v battery on the motor terminals to test if the motor was still in working condition. It WORKED. So then I began tracing the wire that plugs into the actual window shade to the front of the car and...
I fixed something on my own! My 2001 740iL has retractable shades on the rear seat windows but both of them had stopped working. They didn't want to retract back in. Following the instructions on another forum (sorry!) I was able to fix both in about half an hour.
The problem is the bottom...
so I dent really want to install it back
and get those clips from the dealer.
