I have a 2014 550i with 90k miles. Should I use semi-synthetic oil now?
Non-synthetic oil can cause engine sludge, but if I use top-tier gasoline, will this offset the sludge build up and be the best way to extend the life of my vehicle?
two part question here-
Was thinking of removing and replacing my PS fluid using the turkey baster method. Any suggestions on what type of ATF fluid I should use? I was debating in which to use: Castrol Multi-Vehicle (Non-Syn) or the Castrol Transmax ATF4 (Full Synthetic).
What do you guys use? Thanks...

I've found myself a mint condition alpine white e30 325i, that i want the very best for!
The oil that the previous owner was using was a non synthetic 20w 50....
Which in my opinion is pretty heavy. But...
I'm planning to do DIY on changing engine oil with my 2.5i 2005 X3.
My plan is to:
- drain out the old oil fully out
- flush out the empty oil tank with cheap(er) 'new-clean' oil
- pour in 'new-clean' castrol synthetic oil
And just wondering, how many litres of the synthetic oil do...
