Hello, I found a 2005 BMW 545i with a 6 speed manual with 84,000 miles and a clean title. If It is in decent condition and a certified mechanic checks it out all is good and I could get it for a good price would this be a good car now and in the future ?
My partner has a 4.8l V8 non turbo X5 which runs great except that on colder days it takes 3 or 4 goes to start. Has been serviced recently and no issues were reported.
Any ideas about cold start problems?
Thanks for any help.
I have a 99 Z3 Roadster with a 2.5 and a 5 speed.
I stole the 4.4 out of my 2001 740i and bought an e34 V8 5 speed to mate to it.
I have upgraded rotors/pads and bought a conversion kit to fit the motor in the Z3.
I plan on getting fully adjustable coilovers (planning on megan racing)
Doing spark plugs and coils & oil change tomorrow along with installing a new MAF, but MAF hasn't come in the mail yet.
I was going to reset adaptions after the tune up, and since I never did this before even after its been tuned, Im looking forwarded for some new power (big difference) since...
I need to replace my exhaust quick. Just the muffler section. There's a small hole. It's near the top, and the heat has already burned/melted through the heat shield above it!
Fortunately, I never much liked this exhaust. I've got a big V8, yet at anthing other than high rev's, I might as...
I'm new to posting here so I do apologize if this is a duplicate thread.
I have a 2011 BMW 550i twin turbo with 120,000km on it.
It's been a flawless car...until now.
I'm having an issue where when the car idles for more than a minute or two...or when its a hot day out...or when I...
Hey guys, I'm just about ready to pull all my hair out. I recently picked up a super clean 2003 540i M-Sport with 89,000 miles (Auto) and it was running a little rough. I replaced the coil packs, spark plugs, crankcase vent, valve cover gaskets, vanos seals, alternator and radiator and all was...
The 8 Series coupe will launch later this summer, a day before the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race begins.
The race is the perfect place to launch the car, argues BMW, since its sister car, the M8 GTE endurance racer, will take to the track the next day to campaign against the world's best...
Following in the footsteps of the M2 Competition, is the BMW is adding a little more performance to the M5 with the brand new, 2019 M5 Competition.
Churning out 625 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque, the M5 Competition is now good for a 0-60 sprint of just 3.3 seconds, a 0.3 improvement over the 2018...

I***8217;ve recently bought a 550i because I decided it***8217;s now or never to finally own a V8. For the wave-of-torque style acceleration, and for the noise, of course. And I***8217;m very dissappointed with both. (Regarding acceleration, I started a related thread months ago (the thread...

I have a preowned Active Autowerke Exhaust System that I removed from my 550I upon trading it in last week. The axel back, bolt on system was purchased less than a year ago and is in great condition. I wanted a more aggressive sound and some added performance and that is exactly...
My e53 sounds like a jet engine or that it's supercharged, although that would be nice, it's not normal and the power isn't there.
I suspect the cooling aux radiator fan to be the root cause. The fan doesn't start up with air con on but I've got voltage at the plug. The mains are 12v dc and the...
