Don’t forget the timing chain tensioner springs
There is only one that is easily replaced. Short of a tear down of the front covers, then you could access the other two.
Get this: Ina 11317531813, 5510004100 Timing Chain Tensioner; For Crankshaft to Camshaft Chain - BMW, Land Rover | 01583 11311736023 551000410 8510259 INA is the original equipment supplier. So same product as the dealer, but half the price.
You will also need a new aluminum sealing (crush) washer: Fischer & Plath 07119963355, 1006748 Metal Seal Ring / Washer; 22x27x1.5mm, Aluminum | 0076030022100 07119963357 22X27X150AL 8330268

I have a cold air without a shield and it gets stupid hot in the engine bay. Do you know where I could buy just a shield. I’ve checked eBay with no luck.
Fabricate one or re-install the OEM air box and panel filter

Turner has the set-up.
Larger intake plenum, MAF housing, and heat shield.
Probably would need to add a tune to take advantage of the upgrades.

The OP of my Touring had the M63 non V intake, and the Dinan set up with the before mentioned parts that he removed prior to selling to me.
I replaced the TB with the N62, and added the Turner set up.

I only did this because the DME has Dinan stage 2 software.
Otherwise, I would have kept it stock.

I will say, the car has more personality than my 03 sedan, which is no slouch.
