Hi Guys,

my 03 530i outside temperature gauge seems pretty off. as i drive the car it seems that the outside temperature keeps rising. yesterday it went as high as 117 degrees. could this be a problem with the engine heat being read by the gauge? please help.:dunno:

Get under the car near the front passenger area and look for the temp sensor. It could've fallen off and ended up near the exhaust

how long have you owned this car? its common for po's to relocate the outside sensor to prevent damage, it might have been poorly accomplished/
