My 2008 BMW 535i has 145k miles. I had been driving the car around all day and after stopping for about30 minutes, I went to start the car up and it wouldn't start. It also began making this turbine like sound for about 3 seconds and then stops. All of the guages work as expected. Battery is good. Still, the car wouldn't start at all. I suspect the starter. Anyone had this issue? Check out the video below...

The sound starts about 16 seconds into the video. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, sounds like the starter motor isn't engaging the flywheel.

Didn't the car start the first time he pushed the start button? Sounds like the car is running to me.

Then you asked him to hit the start button again and got the sound from the starter spinning.
