Has anybody purchased/installed LED fog light bulbs in an X6 2013 3.5x? I want to change out the standard bulbs and have found some LED bulbs that claim to not need any additional wiring harness or other mods. Would like to hear from an owner who has done this or knows that this is complete rubbish.

It's annoying that the M Sport Package AND FULL LED Headlight kit doesn't upgrade your fog lights as well. JMHO, but the car looks silly when both sets of lights are on in it's current state.

Agree, but what type of bulb s it H11 or H3 ?

Just purchased a X6 5.0 Performance Edition. Want to change the fog lights to HID color bulbs but can't find any reference in the manual about bulb type.

Are they H11s?

Fog light H11 bulbs

Ok, I figured out the fog lights are H11 bulbs. Replaced stock bulbs with Hoen Xeon match bulbs. They look better but don't match the factory Led headlights perfectly. I'll keep looking, anyone try H11 LED with load resistors?

with ballast / converter cables, gave NO BULB errors.

Bulb temp isn't perfect match, but looks mutch better than stock fog lights. :thumbup:
