hi, I am new to the BMW community, I just recently purchased my first BMW, a 2008 135i. I love the car. But it is having some issues. And I think I kind of know what the problem is, but I really don't know much about BMWs. So sometimes I get a service engine soon light sometimes it goes off, also sometimes I get a engine light with that slash in middle sometimes it goes off as well. also at times u can feel the misfire but sometimes it wouldn't at all. and on top of all that I notice on some start ups it would take like 3 seconds or a few cranks to get motor started, and I had the engine scanned for codes and received a long list of codes

list of codes:p0301 p0302 p0300 p0303 p0304 p0305 10701 10702 10700 10703 10704
10705 I believe these are all misfire codes

then I have code 12542 12544 I looked this one up something about turbocharger A overboost condition (PLAUS)

So I am just curious what could be the problem. One thought I had was the HPFP, the fuel pump from the research I have done so far. Any help would be appreciated so I know what im getting my self into. Thank you

Personally I like to start with the low hanging fruit and work my way backwards. Do you know when the spark plugs were last done on it? I would replace them all. I went with the laser iridium plugs as they run cooler and are better for the higher boost levels. I picked up all 6 for $70 including shipping. I did have to gap the ones I got but you can get them pre gapped as well.

After that I would look at the coil packs. That is what caused misfires for me. You can get all 6 Bosch factory replacements for about $120.

My guess is one of those would solve the issues, not sure about the overboost condition, so I would start there and see if that fixes it. Even if they are not the cause it is good to maintain those parts.
