Hi,

i've got a BMW 1 Series Convertible and i was just wondering is the boot supposed to open automatically when you hold onto the button?

when i hold the boot button, it releases the boot but it doesn't pull up

any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Thanks

The trunk (boot) just unlocks. It does not open all the way.

that is only on the coupe

I suspect its how the cab top opens and closes in combination with the boot

on a merc my ex had; it uses a very LARGE spring to open the trunk; no room for that on the cab boot; becuase that pull down thing cover is where a spring would be
