My E46 has the clutch start switch set very low. So low that I have to bottom out the clutch pedal to start the car. The downside of this, is that my clutch disengages very high. I can barely touch the pedal and I am able to shift.

my questions are this.

1. Is there a way to change the setting of the clutch's switch so it will allow the car to start when the pedal is pressed only part way in.

2. is it possible to make this switch into a button, similar to that on the Z8 use to start the car. (Hold the button down and turn the key)

If anyone has the bently manual and can find a picture or location of the switch I would appreciate it. Maybe I can figure it out by myself.
