1: Does anyone know of a sponsor or someone else who sells E46 M3 replica side mirrors? Not E39 M5 replicas (aka elephant ears) but E46 M3 ones? I found them advertised in one place but the pictures were of an E46 with M5 reps ......

The only one I found was bavauto which (surprise surprise) cost about 2x as much as it would actually cost to pick up 2 OEM ones from somewhere else.

2: If the car didn't come w/ auto-dim mirrors, but the new mirrors have the feature, would it be plug n' play? I was able to add the auto dim rear view w/ just a ground wire, but I get a feeling it might not be as easy w/ the side mirrors.

Nice one Jake! I missed that one somehow.

I think I might be stuck going the OEM route on this one. I've wanted M3 mirrors for a while, but If I can retrofit the autodimming feature it'll be the final push to make me do it.

You should be able to use the M3 ones, just search fanatics really well. A lot of stuff about the 6 pin ribbon or whatever for the coupes.

What trigger by the footwell do you mean? Does it run from the rearview mirror to there?
