I have a March produced X5 with the CPT8000 Sprint service phone setup and Navigation. The phone system and Navigation works great but would like add voice activation and a cell phone signal strength booster. Does anyone have any information on these added features for me.

Thanks,
Frank

Here's some information on the VR system - http://www.x5world.com/articles.php?action=viewarticle&artid=10

For boosting the signal you will need what I believe is called a "compensator unit". Since the CPT8000 has been manufacture discontinued you may have a difficult time finding one. Check with Vaheh at Crevier BMW and see if he can still get one. There's more information on the CPT phone system at http://www.x5world.com/articles.php?action=viewarticle&artid=53

Normally I'd recommend that you junk the CPT8000 system and install the BMW Bluetooth system instead (the BT retrofit module even has the voice recognition function built-in). However, since there are very few Bluetooth-enabled phones that work with the Sprint PCS network, this may not be the best solution for you at this time.
