I love my 2001 BMW. When I hit a pothole at low speed the front wheels go into a "high speed wobble". this is what we call it in my motorcycle days. It handles fine otherwise.
I am concerned this may cause an accident in the future. Any thoughts?

Hmmm... easiest thing to do is put your front end up on jack stands and get under your car and start looking at your front suspension... anything cracked or does anything have excessive play? Thrust arms, as mentioned above, could be a culprit.
With wheels off the ground, grip your tires at 12 oclock and 6 clock - can you move the tire back and forth? Same thing for 3 and 9 oclock. Check your lug nuts too while you're at it, make sure they're torqued down firmly.

Is there any wobble when you brake as well?
