Morning guys

Serviced my 318 E46 some weeks ago. New plugs, coils, oils and filters etc... Since then, maybe a coinsidence, it idles terrible and cuts out. Will restart but cut out. Eventually it’ll start and run perfectly, but sometimes cuts out when approaching traffic lights etc... Error codes show cam pos errors, intake and exhaust errors, O2 errors. Could this be timing related? Chain tensioner replaced before I bought it. Has an intermittent chain ratttle type noise towards top of block but chain not slack enough really. Any pointers in checking timing firstly, then retiming. Got cam timing kit etc...

Many thanks

In that engine should always check timing chain. It's known weak spot in those N-series 4-cylinder engines.
