Just purchased 2002 BMW 745i . Found out that previous owner has CD NAv swapped for DVD NAv. Only problem is that the car will only recognize NAv CD's not DVD's. Is there a software upgrade for this to work? I know the car has recent software (it has the "perspective" optiion with the Navigation views. Any input would be appreciated.

That is all its supposed to recognize. no movie watching in factory configuration.

Or do you mean it isn't seeing NAV DVDs either? Do you have a real disk? Copies often do not work...

It does not recognize Nav DVD's. Ive tried an original and a copy -no luck on either.

you will need to change the gps drive to a dvd one from a 2004 or 2005 E65?
