Hello my name is Marisa and I have a 2003 325i that I recently just replaced the starter to and now it won't start..before I changed the starter it wasn't even clicking and now that the starter is replaced it spins clicks but just won't turn over, there is power spark and fuel pump they all work... when I turn the key I do notice that my car immediately reads hot in the red zone for the car temperature., when the car hasn't even ran going over a week..I'm stumped any ideas

The starter install is close to the crank position sensor. If you damaged that or the harness then it won't start.

Get the codes read. If it's what I described you'll get a short circuit or implausible code for it.

Look at your mass air flow meter and see if it's plugged in....its on the air tube from the air cleaner box....it can prevent a motor from starting and throw codes for throttle body
