I had check engine light on my 2003 745i. I took it to the dealer and got back a list for $3,000. I had a "Transmission failsafe " message and this was the main reason why I took the car. I did a full inspection on the car and this is what I got back

Complaint: Automatic transmission diagnosis and report. Check for trans light intermit coming on
Correction: Diagnosis the auto transmission light found hard faults to the SLZ clock spring with control unit internal shorting

Then the guy called me and old me about some secondary air pump that has to be replaced which is causing the transmission to go failsafe.

Anyone can decode what the dealer wrote?
