I called the dealer (Allison BMW) and told them that I absolutley did not want them do drill holes into the front of the bumper to mount the lic. plate frame. They said the holder mounted from the bottom? so nothing will show if i remove it. Anyone else know about this?
I know its not the case for some of the older e46s but I am not going to trust the dealer about this. anyone confirm this.

With the coupe's facelift resembling that of the sedan, go look for a 2002 sedan and take a look at how it is mounted. The same technique will probably hold true with the coupe.

I had them mount the license plate frame on mine and they did have to drill into the bumper. This is the first I've heard of the "under mounted" frame. :dunno:
