I am considering ordering a 2005 545i ED in the next few days. I'm not too enthused about the active steering, especially since my partner will also sometimes drive the car and is not a car fanatic. Dreams of run ins with the curb have been going through my mind.

I heard that active steering is no longer a part of the sport package. Can someone confirm:

1. Is this true that Active Steering is now a separate option?

2. Is there a price reduction on the sport package because of this reduction?

3. How much is the price reduction in terms of invoice and list price?
