Hi,

On our 2006 BMW 530xi and we are getting the following error messages:

- Orange brake light
- Start/off assistance inactive

When we plugged into the C310 scanner, we got the following error:
- 2F0D Radiator blind activation
- 2A9 Crankshaft-exhaust camshaft correlation
- 2A1A Tank venting system function
- 2A2E Mixture control
- 2A2E Mixture control 2
- 5ED8 Reverse-gear switch (forward)

The car is long after warranty so trying to figure out what is wrong/needs to be replaced. Would someone be able to advise on the error codes?

Thank you

Try clearing the codes and then rescan. None of those are related to the brake warning.

Thanks. How can I diagnose the orange brake light with the C310 OBD2 Scanner?

Do any of these warnings need any atttention?

Use a BMW specific code scanner - Carly for example. There are others, Carly will probably be the easiest.

Is there a place where I can see what all of these codes mean?

I don't think newtis will yield anything because those are generic codes.
Now using Google with some work and using the mixture control errors, it translates like this;
2A2E mixture control > P0172 > System too rich bank 1
2A2E mixture control 2 > 2A2F > P0175 > System too rich bank 2
Generic readers give generic codes which leads to generic answers.
Long run, not worth it to me.
As far as one place for translation, none that I know because there are so many different generic readers,
all with their own schemes for codes.
Might try the manufacturer or if they have a forum.
