2006 BMW 318i SE E90 DSC & Alternator problems

Hi,

DSC issue:
I have recently bought a BMW from a salvage auction with a number of problems. It has the yellow trifecta (DSC) and brake lights on the dash. When I scanned the computer for errors, it came up with the error code 5E20 Pressure sensor 1 electrically defective via INPA. After doing some research, I found out that the pressure sensor 1 is located within the ABS block itself, so I ordered a working used ABS pump from eBay. After swapping over just the metal block (so I don't have to program the new unit to the car) I scanned the codes and the error disappeared. However, when I got to bleeding the front brakes, the pressure sensor code came back on! So I ordered another ABS unit from eBay thinking the one I bought is somewhat defective. When I was getting to replacing the ABS unit again, I started the car and the DSC and brake lights went away. I went for a drive, checked if traction control engages and everything was working like a charm. Next day, I went to start the car and the same issue happens, DSC and brake light on the dash! What can be the cause of this issue?

Alternator issue:
I scanned the car using INPA and came across these codes: 2A61 (VVT learning function stop), 2F9E (thermal oil level sensor), 2E7C (BSD line fault), 2EBE (BSD message from the generator is missing), 2A70 (Error in the electricity plausibility check), 2DD7 (CAN timeout DSG SG), 2DDC (CAN SZL signal error).
I noticed a lot of water in the battery compartment when I was taking the battery out and the 2 red positive wired that lead to the front of the vehicle were corroded but I tried my best to clean them up. Also, I was looking at YouTube videos regarding the issue and the possible issue is the IBS however my BMW doesn't seem to have it (I don't know if it's meant to be like that or someone removed it). What can be the cause of this issue?

Thanks,
Hubert

For the alternator/bsd codes, ISTA diagnostics says to unplug each bsd component one at a time and scan it until you then other codes go away- leaving you with one bsd fault. That will give you the faulty bsd component. I had a cheap brand alternator cause my bsd issue. Even following those instructions I couldn’t pinpoint my issue, but it turned out to be the alt. If you have an aftermarket alternator - that’s probably the issue there. Oil sensor, water pump, alternator, and IBS are all share the bsd line

Ahh I see. I will try to unplug each BSD component later on this week and see if that resolves the issue, otherwise I will look for a new alternator.
Thank you

UPDATE:
So today I was able to unplug the BSD components individually (except the IBS as my car doesn't have it) with no success. I also noticed that my alternator wire doesn't have a Purple wire going into the connector which I saw on a youtube video (
) the pictures of my alternator wires:

After disconnecting some more stuff I turned the ignition on in the car, the DSC lights went away for some reason, but I have no doubt that they will come back on.
I went under the car and I noticed a leak going on. However I cannot determine where the leak is coming from, also it doesn't look like engine oil to me either. Here are the pictures of it:

UPDATE:
I have replaced the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator where the BSD line is connected to. Sorted out the missing alternator issue and valvetronic motor issues!
I still have to sort out the DSC issue.
UPDATE:
Replaced the DSC unit with a new one and everything works!
