I currently drive a 2003 530i and had earlier added a modified CDV from Zeckenhaus. It made a big difference to the feel and action of the clutch. I am awaiting delivery of my 2007 530xi. Can anyone tell me if the modification of the CDV on this vehicle will improve the feel of the clutch? Also, is will the modified CDV from Zechenhaus work?

The new E60s with a manual do include the dreaded CDV that Dave Zeckhausen has championed the removal of.

However, the E60 is more complicated and time-consuming to work on to extract/replace the CDV. For starters, body panels must be removed and access to the CDV is more cramped than on the E39.
