Where did you see the list of colors available? Any new interior options? Saw a photo that looked like Oyster. Bummer that Monaco is gone...I agree that Deep Sea Blue might look odd on a large vehicle like this. Looks great on the E60, though. Would have to see in person. We declined delivery on a 2010 XDrive30 last month to wait for the 35i and my dealer has been tight-lipped on any details.

I got the list from my dealer. Long story short have a 2007 x5 monaco and wanted a 2010 in the same color. Was told no longer making monaco; then asked when 2011s arriving and was told April. Ordered a 2011 instead but colors then unknown. Have now been told (though subject to change) jet black, sapph black, verm red, space grey, plat grey, deep sea blue, alpine white, and platinum bronze. Some of those colors are beyond hideous. Interiors listed as sand beige (have that now) oyster, connamon brown (replacing saddle brown), tobacco and black. Don't waste your time on a 2010- the 2011 is also available in a 5.0 instead of 4.8 which is what I am happy to be upgrading to. Website in US not updated; some other international sites are but still cannot see color combo I am actually considering since either never offered before on the x5 or never offered together as ext/int options on any car. How does oyster compare to sand beige? I also have not seen cinn brown but would only order that with black- my other color choices would look mismatched with brown.

I've seen oyster on other models and it looked like a very slightly grayish off-white to me -- I would hate to try to keep it clean.

almost waited for a 2011

We wanted to wait for a 2011... but really needed to have the vehicle in our possession by end of April (current lease of 3-series is over April 30).

Local dealer did some checking and said that they were taking 2011 build orders in Feb for March/April production and perhaps April/May delivery. Does that sound consistent with what you've heard?

Our main concern was in getting an early production slot to ensure we'd have the X5 by end of April, but dealer said he had a production slot for a 2010 that was only a few days away from "no further configuration changes".... so we jumped on that one, and I think it's going into production in next day or few days... the only option we could not get was the Head Up Display - apparently they have limited many of the normal options & colors for the last of the 2010 builds. We wanted alpine white which was still available.

Any price differences in the 2011 6-cylinder versions that folks have heard about?

If your lease is through BMW NA they will give you an extension if you have a new one on order. They gave me 2 weeks for free and offered to extend the lease month to month after that if needed. That might give you the time you need to get your ordered vehicle.

Good to know, my wife's lease is up in May and hopefully if we can work something out to get a hold of the 2011 model, so excited!

I did hear that the 2010s were finishing up very shortly- and they removed a lot of options including color (though I was told they would make the combo I wanted). I declined and have a 2011 on order. The price is unchanged I have heard for the base model and the M. The 5.0 is of course upgraded in price from the 4.8. Additionally, options have been broken out of packages and additional options were added like side cameras and lane alarms. (A waste of time from my perspective though the heads up was also an option I never liked once I saw it on a vehicle for sale.)
