Hi all,

Lurking for a long time, now needing some advice.
Been locking into an M3 ED for a while and couple of weeks ago had pricing negotiated on a 2016 M3.
Dealer shows me about 20 M3s in the system which are Prio 3 and could still be customized (not 150 yet).
Dealer says they have allocation. So we go ahead.
Well, been waiting for production number for nearly a month now.

I guess this will not be happening with a 2016 M3.

Question: where did I go wrong, thought I asked the right questions after reading up over here.

Any insight highly appreciated.

Sounds like a dishonest dealer to me. Had a similar experience, just move on to another dealer.

Got the same crap last year from a 'big corporate' dealership. They took a deposit on a car that they appeared to have no intention of ordering. My advice is find an honest dealer who does not treat customers like 'marks'.. I still cannot believe BMW does not vett dealers better.
