Purchased the X1 on 11/1/21 with 47k miles. 6,000 miles later brought the car in to get the rear brakes fixed by my local BMW mechanic after service warning and BRAKE light on. Mechanic is stating:
- REAR PAD SENSORS READING 700 MILES OVERDUE. FRONT PAD SENSORS ARE NOT DETECTED BY SCAN TOOL.
S/A is stating:
- Spoke to the technician and he told me that the brakes won't read until it it time to change them. He said that a scan tool will not read them. It is the brake sensor that indicates.
Also, car stutters/stalls in the morning very occasionally. After paying the diagnostic fee, S/A tells me to keep an eye on the throttle because it may need to be replaced soon.
Thoughts???
