2JZGTE powered E39's

Might be old but these cars are badass. Granted they are M5's and I myself would probably keep the S62 BUT the 2JZ is such a beast of an engine. Virtually bullet proof stock(can you say 700 rwhp on stock internals?) with a plethora of aftermarket upgrades and support. The first link the owner did his own work with some help and said the swap + upgrades was still cheaper than supercharging his S62!

I have seen a few RB26dett out there as well. I wish I had unlimited Time and money lol
How can you compare the driveability and character of the 2JZ to the S62. Granted the 2JZ is an amazing engine but it just doesn't belong in the E39.
Not sure if you are just interested in the 2JZ cars but you might be interested to read about the DA twins

Also the RMS supercharger kit is putting out some impressive numbers. This is a pretty good, but long thread about a build

Then there are the LSX swaps too, which I think can put some some good numbers too.

Oh I see you have a 530 so check out ESS twin screw setups. You are not going to get the crazy 600+ numbers, but given that the I6 cars weigh a couple hundred pounds less than the V8 cars the ESS power numbers are good. Plus the twin screw develops higher boost at lower rpms giving you good low and mid range torque. I

Oh I'm not interested in the swap just wanted to post the links because I thought the guys did a great job. I'm running my M54 til it dies :)
I wish I had the money to send my M54 off to hpf to have turned into a beast. Have you seen their 1000whp daily drivable e46 m3? It's sweet!

Good reads!

Wish I had the skills and cash to just whip one together.
