code 1225 # 1 knock sensor

I am getting this code but only once in a while. Usually when going down a hill the check engine light will come on but only for a second or two.

I read up on it and the 1st sensor is all the way back next to the fire wall.

BUT do I really need to change it, can I leave it or should I replace it.
Just wondering if it is a vital sensor that I should change or if it’s something I can look over.

I had a code like this and it ended up being worn out spark plugs causing the engine to knock once in awhile. I would change them first.

Easy to change. And yes it's better to replace it as fast as you can. If not, better have your cell phone on you all the time and tow company number.
