My wife has a Jetta TDI that we will be selling back to VW. She likes the Passat TSI but I'm seeing 328I CPO for around 22-24000 with low miles. She likes the looks of the car and I'm sure she will love the way it drives. So the real question is reliability. She drives over 100 miles a day. Will the 328 or a 320 be a good choice?

That's a lot of miles. The car will be great for that purpose but over time will be more expensive out of warranty than a more mundane car.

I would want a fun car if I were drive 100 miles a day. From that perspective, the 328i will be a great choice. In terms of reliability, what he said ^. Preventive maintenance is key.

Go for it. Get a 328. But remember that any car needs regular maintenance and application of some common sense. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.

PS - There's a lady who lives nearby who drives a 2006 X5 SUV with close to 300,000 miles on it. She rarely experiences a problem.
