I just bought my first BMW last month in Norwell Massachusetts. The car is a 2002 325xi with 5-speed manual transmission. The car is fantastic but I have had some issues with my shifting, mostly within the first 5 minutes of driving my car in the mornings and after work. After I go a few miles the shifting gets better, and I am not shifting any differently from when I first start out and 2 miles down the road!
What is causing this? Is the clutch cold? Could the transmission fluid be low at the start and takes a few minutes to circulate? Anyone with similar issues or advice would be helpful.
Overall, the car is phenominal but this small issue is driving my nuts.
