Hi folks.

I have an 88 e30is. I really like the car, but it is getting a little tired. I'd like to get an e36. I've been looking at 328i and 328is models. I'd really like to get the 328is but there aren't many that come up for sale. There are a lot of 328i models though.

So my problem is having driven the 325is for quite a few years, would I be happy with the regular 328i 4 door (with Sport Package) performance wise??? My 88 325is, which is stock, will really get up and go even with 153000 miles on it. It's still a blast to drive.

I like the look of the 328is better than the 328i too. But this is not a question of 2 door vs. 4 door. Rather my question is more performance related.

Any feedback? Thoughts? Opinions?

Thanks,
Joe

The 4-door E36 is generally the preferred chassis for race cars. Same as with the E46. Unlike with the E30, where they actually made the coupe more sporty, the sedan actually has a VERY marginal edge in both the E36 and E46 chassis.

I know of 3 people seriously looking for well cared for 325is's. You won't have any trouble selling it, that's for sure.
