Hi Folks,

Recentley purchased my first BMW, a 2007 CPO 328xi. It has new Conti runflats. I live about 45min. north of Philly. Will the All-Wheel-Drive traction get me through the winter snow/slush or do I really need to get some winter tires? Looking for some feed back from others with the All-Wheel-Drive. Thanks.

Ed.

AWD does nothing to help stop or turn the vehicle.
i ran winter tires on my S60R which was AWD, so i was able to not only get going, but actually stop when i had to.

I run Blizzaks on my 530xi T and it definitely stops and starts better. In deep snow, the all-seasons would sometimes lose grip turning and stability control would kick in making the car act strange momentarily. That does not happen w/ Blizzaks. BTW, I live and drive in Buffalo, NY and we get our fair share of snow!
