Well, I finally got out of the hospital and got to drive for a bit earlier this week.

So far, the car is a dream. Only one minor complaint: the radio display, when it is warm outside (80+) seems to really fade in intensity. It's fine when the temperature is ambient and functions as expected. Even with darkness inside the cabin, moonroof shut, and no excessive sunlight in the car.

I'll watch it for now and see how it goes.

On a positve note, the notchiness in the gearbox is leaning towards improvement overall. So far, I've got 370 miles. I hope it continues to do so!

Ive never noticed a problem with my display, but anyway, keep havin fun!
the display problem sounds like it could be a sensor problem . . . I am pretty sure we have a sensor in our car that would make the light brighter or darker . . .

this is a guess . . . am I wrong about the sensor ? ?

I'll be picking my 330ci this week, so I'll be sure to check how the display performs in bright sunlight. But, to be safe, only when I'm stopped.

It might be a while :D

I think the 330ci is a weak car. i wish the car had a little more power. If the M engines were a little bit reliable, i would have gotten the M3, but for now 330ci. I think i might have to make some mods to make this car a tad bit quicker. E36 m3 feels a lot sronger and pulls better in my opinion. Hmm. my 3cents.

But i guess overall it's a decent car for 40k.

I have found that if you dump the clutch at 6,000rpm and bang through gears at red line you don't notice the notchiness as much.
