Yesterday I accidentally put regular gas in my car and have since ran the gas out and put new premium gas in it. But the car is very rough while idling and it blows white smoke. The car also cannot go into third gear and also gives a drivetrain malfunction message. I got codes read and their are aloy of misfires and it’s saying i could need a spark plug and possibly injection coils. Does anyone know if it’s just the bad gas that just has to cycle out more or it could be a actual problem with the car?

Putting regular gas in the car, barring any other problem, should not cause misfires. The engine adjusts for the lower octane. Before throwing parts at it I would take the car to an indy BMW shop. Also, you should invest in a scanner with BMW specific software, such as an Autel or Foxwell.
