Apart from the title being a tongue-twister, tell me if I'm reading this correctly.

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Vehicles/2015/5/550iSedan/Features_and_Specs/550iSedanSpecifications.aspx

I posted about this in one of the threads but it got buried.

So tell me I'm not going insane when it says that the weight distribution on the F10 550 is 48.5/51.5% front/rear.

This has to be the first BMW V8 that isn't 'nose heavy'. Yes, a heavy car overall, but I never felt it to be significantly front heavy as it did between the I6 and V8 E39.

If I recall correctly, on the E39, the M62 V8 in the 540 was actually lighter than the M54 I6 in the 530. What made the front end heavy was the different use of metals on the front sub-frame. Those two were almost night and day.

I've driven most variants of the F10 523, 528, 535, 535 AH and never really felt that they were in a different league handling wise.

Looking at the G30 specs, man BMW is really moving away from 50:50 - the new 540ix is 53.8 / 46.2. Isn't that Audi territory?:)

The ratios you note are what I noted from the BMW literature for my 550i
