Hi all,

I bought a ZF320 to swap into my 325 track car and was experiencing the famous 5th gear lean. I went ahead and replaced the sleeve bushing and put everything back together, replaced the fluid but I still have the 5th gear lean. I haven't ran the car yet because I'm doing other repairs. Will this go away once I run the car and everything gets lubbed up with the fluid?

Being a track car, I'm a little worried since we live within the 3-4-5 gear range.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The story as I have heard it is that the ‘Lifetime’ fluid in our transmissions causes the anti-friction material in the sleeve to break-down and swell.
Red Line, Royal Purple, etc., etc also are a cause of the swelling.
