Indy recommended Tran fluid chance @ 70k-80k miles..

Isn't that expensive. Iam now not repenting my decision to buy the extended maint for $2200/-. Iam sure one brake job and the 60k service will help me recoup my investment.

I Drive my 335i , Like I stole it. Did get a free brake as part of "free maintenance".
The real question is , Will the dealer do the Trans oil change or the power steering fluid and how much it will cost.

And my main intention starting this thread - Get feed back from the community ;-)

To answer your question on both. No they will not. Remember those fluids are considered lifetime fill so their policy is to not change them...

Didn't you get the spark plugs changed at 45K? If so, ask Ken for a refund.

Was not sure if the stealership changed it. I agreed for the spark plugs to be changed.
Ken told me that , annual inspection is due in 2700 miles ( according to car computer ? )

annual check included brakes, cooling system, check power steering fuild etc and resulted in 1 fault for cabin sensor. They just cleared it as the part was not available.

My two cents is all is fine except going 70-80k on the tranny fluid is a little too long in my book. I prefer 60k for tranny, differential and power steering fluids. I would go back and get the tranny and power steering done and then you are good until 120k (except for oil, brake fluid and coolant).

You do realize that the "inspection" required by the car's computer is BS. Don't pay for this anymore as it is a waste of money. Just pay for regular oil, coolant, brake, spark plug, power steering, tranny and differential changes.

You must have the automatic...I, for some reason, thought you had 6MT...my fault. In any event, $800 is highway robbery. The automatic tranny fluid flush should be closer to $500. I would go to another indy and make sure that they use BMW's proprietary fluid. The automatic, I am told, needs to be refilled with only BMW approved fluid. It is costly, but your quote seems to be close to double what it should be. There is no 90k service in my opinion. The power steering, tranny and differential should be every 60k. The coolant every 3 years and brake fluid every 2 years. Oil every 7500 miles. That is it.

Your maintenance plan will not cover differential oil change and coolant change. Coolant change requires dropping the Intercooler on the 335i. Getting access to the spark plugs is relatively easy but requires a bit of dis-assembly. Labor for access is the reason for the seemingly high Indy price. OTOH, changing a 335i engine air filter is simple, it doesn't require any tools.

CBS 60K mile Inspection: no parts

My indy charged ~$350 for my transmission fluid change. I have the 328 AT so maybe that counts for something. I am at 61K and my next move will be to have fluids changed on: Differential X2, Transfer Case, Coolant, and Power Steering. Beyond the fluids I suppose the spark plugs and serp belt and air filter could use a little attention. I plan on driving for 150K so messing around with cutting corners is not an option for me.
