Be sure your cluster has 0000 km and FFFFFF VIN before instaling it on car. Also be sure you make km 0000 in both chips. After you make it 000 and FFFF, install it again and recode it.

My 2010 F01 has the following options: 6WA, Head Up Display, Lane Assist, Speed Display indication.

My questions are as follows, if I install the 6WB what are the problems ?

My Head up display will show it the same informations ?

You need to Desolder EEPROM from motherboard in order to write new Data to it.

Once VIN and Mileage is blanked from EEPROM, you can install 6WB and Code it like any other ECU.

Most use an R270 EEPROM Programmer.

I have on my 6WB a 160D0WT millage chip. The r270 dont work with that.

 

Did you unsolder Chip from Motherboard or leave it attached?

Maybe a bad R270. It is Chinese made, and the quality on them varies widely.

I buy brand new 6WB Kombi for $2000 USD so I did not have to worry about EEPROM.

 

Tip: if you want the cool red gauges while keeping the gearbox at tamed pace; disable DSC completely (Long press)

 

I haven't found a tread dealing with this specific topic, so this is a little off topic but it seems like this best place to ask this question. I'm looking at a 2011 that was originally a Canadian car and has the metric gauges. I gather that you can't just swap the gauge cluster for another gauge cluster of the same type, you have to wipe the EPROM and recode with you car's info. Not knowing the construction of this cluster this might not be possible but could one just swap the entire circuit board if going from one 6WA to another? If not what would one need to do to make the swap from metric to imperial gauges?

I have built me a used 6WB. It has been deleted and coded. The service indicator stops working aner and the secret menu at "K value" is 64000 and not my KM. The extinction was complete? I also have the incorrect date entered in cic, and have marked only after 2 days

 

and the red dot disappears with the virgin eprom? have also the point though vin and km were purely spelled correctly.

 

you need to flash your DKOMBI with Esys and then programm with R270 the odometer to 0

 

Have you checked the 95320 EEPROM?

6WB has vin in 2 EEPROMs, you need to write your vin into 95320 chip next to the 160D chip, then just code it to your car, no need to flash
